Tutoring Resources offers a unique, two-step approach to standardized test preparation that allows students to work smarter while achieving their individual goals.
ACT Readiness Evaluation
The first step in Tutoring Resources Test Preparation Program is the ACT Readiness Evaluation which includes a complete ACT exam, item analysis & final evaluation written by founder Dr. Sandi Ferguson.
This detailed evaluation helps students identify key issues that will effect the scope and length of their ACT or SAT study plan while also forming the backbone for Tutoring Resources one-on-one study sessions.
When to Study
Based on classroom course load, extracurricular activities, educational goals, previous standardized test experience & initial evaluative exam score, this section helps students plan their complete course of study.
What to Study
Discusses the specific concepts covered by the ACT or SAT and highlights those that were missed on the sample test.
How to Study
Suggests ways to approach strategy driven sections so students can easily extrapolate answers, predict potential questions and eliminate extraneous information.
Covers non-academic issues that may affect student success on the ACT such as pacing, confidence and special accommodations for student's with IEP or 504 plans.
Utilizing the ACT Readiness Evaluation, Tutoring Resources assigns students an individual tutor based on their strengths, compatible learning styles and available study times. Each session is uniquely geared toward the student's specific needs. No time is wasted and scores are maximized through the combination of customized study materials and one-on-one attention.
